Akkodis has a growing client in Boston looking to add a Senior IT Project Manager (PM) to lead critical IT initiatives and projects from concept to completion. You will manage diverse projects across operations and technical solutions, including vendor management, contract negotiations, financial planning, and procurement processes. This job will pay between $65 per hours to $79 per our. All Candidates must be local and we can not accept resumes from third parties or sub contract firms at this time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and implement IT solutions.
- Develop and manage project documentation, including business cases, RFPs, RFQs, and funding requests.
- Oversee procurement processes, contract negotiations, and vendor onboarding.
- Coordinate resources and ensure alignment with MMIS SDLC and capacity planning practices.
- Monitor project progress, mitigate risks, and resolve conflicts to meet deadlines and deliverables.
- Prepare detailed status reports, budget tracking, and financial approvals.
- Communicate technical concepts effectively to business teams and leadership.
Experience:
- 5+ years in IT project management, leading complex, cross-functional projects.
- Proven experience with hybrid and agile methodologies in enterprise IT environments.
- Expertise in developing business cases, contract management, and managing vendor relationships.
- Auditing experience, with state government expertise preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Agile and Waterfall methodologies (Jira experience preferred).
- Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Expertise in financial management and negotiation.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint).
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- PMP, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), and SAFe certifications are a plus.
